Fang Valley is a region in northern Chiang Mai province located between the mountains of the Thai-Burma border to the west and the world-famous Golden Triangle to the north-east. World Weavers is a locally-based social enterprise and together with our development arm (NGO) Blood Foundation, we are offering unique and genuine cultural experiences in and around Fang Valley. Through transformational tourism we aim to positively impact and uplift both the visitor and the region. Our locally-based cultural immersion & personal development program is called We Make the World. We have both a 2-week and 3-week variety of the program. Each program consists of cultural immersion in the local community as well as cultural exchange and assistant English teaching in Thai schools. Guests are invited to engaged in the work and local projects of Blood Foundation and we also provide informative educational content relating to development, social enterprise and inter-cultural dialogue. The 3-week program offers the chance for a 5-day temple stay, living and learning Thai Buddhism in an authentic local temple setting. (Guests are not charged for living in the temple or for dhamma instruction but are encouraged to make a donation directly to the temple). Overnight tours of the Golden Triangle and award-winning homestays in mountainous hill-tribe communities are optional extras for our guests on the free weekends.
